FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is supplied with a cabin rental?

All cabins come fully equipped with all cooking, serving and eating utensils. Cabins have propane stoves, electric fridges, and cold running water. When you rent a cabin you get the use of one rowboat.

Do you have power?

Yes, but not full-time. We have power supplied by a generator for a couple of hours in the morning and for a timed 4.5 hour cycle each evening.

What about beds and bedding?

Each two bedroom cabin has a double bed and a twin bed in each room. One bedroom cabins have one double and one twin. Beds have pillows and are made up with fresh fitted sheets and pillowcases for each new rental. Bring your own bedding or sleeping bags. Bedding can be rented for an additional fee.

What about bathrooms?

All of our one and two bedroom cabins rely on a central washhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. There are also good outhouses in convenient locations on the property.

What about drinking water?

All of our water is supplied by underground spring, and is therefore under a boil water advisement. Or bring your own drinking water.

What is the difference between the American Plan and a Cabin Rental?

We refer to the American Plan as the all-inclusive. It includes all of your accommodations, meals, bedding, fish cleaning, fish smoking, boats, electric motors etc. The cabin rentals have access to all the same lakes, but any extra services are at an additional cost.

Do you have a restaurant?

We do not have a traditional restaurant, but do serve all meals in the lodge to our American Plan guests. Cabin renters can purchase single meals, when arranged in advance. We serve all our guests buffet family style and do not offer a menu.

Do you sell any supplies at all?

We do have ice on hand to sell to our guests, as well as some of the most popular flies, but we do not stock any groceries, snacks, or other supplies.

Do you sell fishing licenses?

Yes, but it is so easy to do it yourself online that we actually prefer this. We have to do it online anyways, and since we only have access to the power when the generator is on it’s easier if you take care of this ahead of time!

What about outside fires and firewood?

Yes, as long as there is no fire ban in effect, there are outside fire pits for each of the cabins. We supply all the firewood you need.

What about phones, cell phones and internet?

We have a phone at the lodge, but it is for emergency use only. Cell service is about 10k down the road. We do have WIFI at the lodge in the evenings right now, but due to popularity, and an increase in usage, there may be an additional charge for this in the near future.

What’s the road like to the lodge?

The road is good, but rocky. Take your time, leave your sports car at home, and you’ll have no problems. We are 21k off the pavement.

What about pets?

Pets are welcome, for an additional fee. We ask that you don’t leave your pets unattended at any time during your stay. Please pick up after them, and please don’t allow them on the furniture in the cabins!

What about camping?

Sorry – no camping! We are busy enough with just the cabins, and our 21K of gravel isn’t too kind to the RV’s!

HILLYBILLY CABIN

Hillbilly is the largest cabin with it’s own washroom.

How many will Hillbilly sleep?

Comfortably, it will sleep no more than 8. It has two queens, two doubles and a set of twin bunks, so even to sleep 8 there is some bed sharing!

What is supplied in Hillbilly?

Hillbilly comes with the same amenities as any of our other cabins, except it also has a full 3 piece washroom, and hot water to the kitchen sink as well.
